UJriOJtf : PACIFIC RAILROAD.CO. Are now constructing a Railroad from OMini, JfEBBASKA, westward toward the Pacifle Ocean, making, with its connections, an unbroken lineACROSS THE'' CONTINENT. This road was completed from Omaha 30o miles west on the 1st of January, lsbv, and is fully equipped, and trains are regu larly junning over it.. The Company has now or nana Bumctent iron, ties, etc, to finish the remaining portion, to the eastern base of the Rocky Mountains, 312 miles, which is under contract to be- done September 1st of this vear: and It Is ex pected that the entire road will be in run ning order irom omaba 10 11s western connection with the Central Pacific, now being ranidly built eastward from Sacramento during 1870. : , . j ' V "V :tfeani oj ' the Company. Estimating the distance to be bull! by the Union facifie to be 1.5K5 miles, the United States Oovernment Issues Its Six per Cent. Thlrty-ear Bonds to the Company as the road is finished, at the average rate or about S. 8,250 per mile, amounting to 44,208,000. -.- Tue UornoanV Is also Permitted to iasne its own First Mortgage Bonds to an equal amount, una at me same time; wmcn. oy special Act of Congress, are made a First Mortgage on the entire line, the bonds of the United States being mbordinate to Ihem. The Government makes a donation of 12,800 acres of land to the mile, amounting to 20.032,000 acres, estimated to be worth $30,009,000, making the total resources, exclusive of the capital, $118,416,000; but the lull value of the lands cannot now be realized. ,.:..!. The authorized Capital Stock of the Company is one hundred million dollars, oi which five millions have already been pal; in, and of which it is not supposed that more than twenty-five millions at most will be required. . - The cost of the road is estimated by competent engineers to be about one hundred million dollars, exclusive of equipment. Prospects for Business. The railroad connection between Omaha and the East Is now complete, and the earnings of the Union Pacific on the sections already finished for the first two weeks in fay wer 8113,000, These sectional earnings as the road progresses will much more than pay the Interest on the Company's bonds, and the through business over the only line of railroad between tne Atlantic and Pacific must be Immense. Value and Security of the' Bond. - - The Company respectfully submit, that the above statement of facts fully demon strates the security of their Bonds; and as additional proof, ibey would suggest that the Bonds now oft'orea. Are-ltw -than ten million dollars on 517 niles of road, on which twenty milh n dollars have already been expended. On 330 miles of this ro,.d the oars are now running, and the reniaing 1ST miles are nearly completed. At the present rate of premium on gold,' these boud.1 pay an annual Interest ou the present cost of V, , ' ' ' . "'.'!' Nine per Cent., and it is believed that on the completion of the road, like the Government Bonds, they will go aboTS far. The Company intend to sell but a limited amount at the present low rate, and retain the right to advance the price at their option. BY THE Lnying" On of Ilnndx, Tbe above-named method of treatment is so strongly associated with the miraculous or supernatural that uninformed persons are wholly ignorant of the agent employed, which is Animal Magnetism. The operation Is pleasant, subduing of palu, correcting or exciting the circulation, aud removing all diseases generally In a sho t time, often in a few moments. As evidence of the above statement, DR. PERSONS submits to the public a few copies of letters he has recently received fiom those who have found relief at his hand. My wife has been lonfined to her room and bed for nearly eight months, suffering from ulceration and prolapsed uteri, accompanied by a severe neuralgia ot head and limbs, pain so great at times as to produce iiudih, also frequent attacks ot a cataleptic character, completely, prostrating her. She has not been able to walk twenty steps In that time, in fact never leaving her room without being earned. She has been treated by some of the best physicians in the South, without deriving any benefit that I could perceive. She li had the benefit of tbe sea-coast and of the watering-places. I had given up ail hopes of ever seeing her up and walking abou . Seeing Dr. Persons' card, I resolved to consult him, and sent for him when buwh in agony and tnreateneu with spasms, 11 n In a few moments be had her perfeetiv calm and free from all pain. I then took her to the hotel, where he could see iter when necessary, fr-he began to improve rapidly, so much so that in fotir days she was able to walk three blocks, and in tix days she was going up and down three flights Of stairs, was out shopping and taking ber meals at the table.
