The Marine Hospital Btjildino. We published last week the House proceedings of Congress confirming the sale" of the Marine Hospital in this city to certaia of our citizens, on condition that it was.to be used as a Hospital; understood to be under the charge of .th Sisters of Charity;-We regret' very much to learn that the Joint Resolution-' failed to pas the Senate before the adjournment of Congress, and, therefore, .that the project, of al Charity. Hospital Ea's failed. We are informed that the sale made to Mr. Thomas H. the wharf is in. excellent order, except for a few feet immediately ad joining the water's edge. The water is now below the upper edge of the paved portion, and as the river de clines, the thin mud on the paved por tion .will dry rapidly while the weather is clear. It is the purpose of the city authorities, as we learn, to push forward the "work of paving the wharf with, all possible dispatch,. and.when that, is done, and. I A Hard Case. Jim Mulligan, the irrepressible, : got upon one of his periodical : benders ' yesterday, and flourished a revolver with loud threats of, murder and outrage a3 he paraded Water Street. Officer Copely hapiSened ' to be; in the vicinity, and seeing the flourishes and hearing the threats, deemed it his duty to use his authority. He approached the young desperado , and 'demanded the revolver,, at-the same time snatching it fromwi Mulligan' ii hand 1 Mulligan, showed fighl.-and'sriowered-'an abundance of .vituperative epithets upon the policeman. That much good will result from an interchange of opinion in such matters we doutt not; and ' that an impetus will be given to 'our Agricultural, Mechanical, Horticultural and Pomological interests. We are glad to see this coming together of the friends of prosperity.
