INSOMNIA.

Are the American .People BeootnlDg a Nation of ana tics ?—The Frightful In' crease of Insanity Cmustd by Nervousness and Sleeplessness

The increase of insanity in America during the last ten years has been more ifreii fifty per-cent. The largest and finest public buildings recently erected have been for the caw of lunatics, and they are all filled to their fullest capacity. These facte are appalling.

TheT

show

that something must be done speedily to prevent this increase or we shall become a nation of lunatics. One of the greatest causes of insanity is loss of sleep. Physicians say that when persons fail to Bleep for four nighls they are on the verge of insanity. And yet narcotics are dangeroas. It is only when the body is well that perfect sleep can be secured. A committee of physicians, that recently investigated this subject, found the lack of life-force in the system brought about more nervousness, more sleeplessnrae, and more madness than any other known cause.

With these attested facts before us, we can easily see that only by adding to the vital force can health be retained, disease avoided, and death postponed. This can only be done, however, by the use of a strong tonic power, and for this purpose nothing has ever equaled Volina Cordial.* It is not designed as a cure all but as a life-giver. It takes the system when it is at low ebb and .mngs it back to vigor. It prevents the coming on of debility. It quiets the nerves and strengthens the muscles so that sleep is not only possible but refreshing.

If our people desire their health un is»naired, ia Bpite of ba'd water, malarial influences and other health enemies that surround them, they must have some standard remedy that imparts vigor, jfhile adding strength. This is a subject which calls for most serious and immediate attention, and one that cannot be postponed nor neglected. The Volina Cordial above referred to, is a recently discovered medical compound made into a pleasant tasting Cordial, so pleasMit you hardly imagine you are taking

medr

cine. Since its introduction a marked effect has been found, by critical observers, upon those persoEB who have used it, and it is absolutely contributing more to check nervousness, debij^y, insomnia sleeplessness and insanity tnai^ny other known agency. As such, its value is inestimable.

Facts Worth Knowing.

In all diseases of the nasal mucous membrane the remedy used must be nonirritating, The medical profession has been slow to learn this._ Nothing satisfactory can be accomplished with douches, snuffis, powders, syringes, astringents or any similar application, because they are all irritating, do not thoroughly reach the effected surfaces and should he abandoned as worse than failures. A multitude of persons who had for years borne oil the worry and pain that catarrh oan inflict testify to radical and permanent cures wrought by Ely's Cream Balm.
