MOSLEMS RIOT | AT PROHIBITION Rioting Breaks Out As Prohibition Starts In Bombay Bombay, India, Aug. I—UR)— Rioting broke out today on tho inauguration of prohibition In Bombay and Its environs. Police fired on a crowd of rioting Moslems who marched in protest against the government and the extra taxation which will be levied to compensate for the loss of revenue from spirits. Five of the paraders were injured, two seriously. The Moslems paraded with black flags Their demonstration coincided with a parade of 30.000 women and SO.ooo textile workers, mostly Hindus, in the alums singing anti- : dink ballads. . BORDER FIGHT IS REPORTED Rumanian « Hungarian Border Clash Flares For Third Time Budapest. Hungary, Aug. 1— (U.R) — The government today announced a third iroutler clash with Rumanians on the Theiss river, where machine guns and rifles were used hi sharp fighting. The annouucemcnreald that Rumanians this morning placed an artillery battery in position along the river bank, but that II had not yet gone into action. One Hungarian frontier guard was wounded in the clash.
