Mr. and Mrs. Wm. J. Bretz, and Misses Elizabeth and Anna Behrens of Huntingburg were visitors at the C. W. Wedeking home Sunday afternoon.

Miss Irene Schaaf of Indianapolis spent the week end with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Schaaf. Mr. Schaaf is now able to be taken about in a wheel chair, which his many friends will be glad to know.

Mrs. P. W. Brown and Mrs. Harold Martin were hostesses for the Monday Night bridge club at the home of the former this week. Prizes were awarded Mrs. Carter Kibler, Mrs. Roy Stone and Mrs. Ireland Hildebrant. A delicious buffet supper was served by the hostesses. Mrs. L. C. Smith was elected president of the club for the next year.

Mr. and Mrs. Willie Anderson of near Huffman Mills spent Sunday with Mrs. A. E. Haskins and other relatives.

Mr. and Mrs. Cloah Irvin and daughters spent several days this week in Indianapolis.

Mrs. Anna Weitkamp was hostess to her bridge club on last Friday evening at her home. Mrs. Esther Pennington was special guest. Prizes were awarded to Mrs. Emma Linhardt and Mrs. Esther Pennington. Delicious refreshments were served by the hostess.

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL—PiXPAGE—A tropical Island, Ilha Das Flores (Flowers Island) has been designated for the internment camp of these first Nazi agents arrested on charges of conducting anti-Brazilian activities. They will reside on the island for the duration of the war. The agents are shown at the Quayside, about to board the island-bound boat.
